80% of US safety models use TRW electronic technology

U.S. Highway Safety Authority, the U.S. Highway Safety Association (IIHS) recently selected the safest vehicle model for the year 2010, of which nearly 80% of vehicles use leading global automotive safety companies – TRW’s advanced occupant safety , steering, braking and electronic technology.

It is reported that the TRW advanced safety technologies adopted by the most safety-related models selected by IIHS include: electronic stability control ESC; adaptive cruise control radar, lane departure camera and lane keeping assist system, tire pressure monitoring, inertial measurement, rollover and vehicle Side-impact area sensing and other sensing technologies; electric power steering; curtain airbags; knee airbags; side airbags; tire pressure monitoring systems.
