(hereinafter referred to as “North First Heavy Castingâ€) has been successfully cast. Director of the China Foundry Association Jia Chengbing and the full-time vice chairman Wen Piao’s experts from the foundry circle made a special trip to the scene and saw the record of the world’s single largest ductile iron machine tool casting again refreshed after a lapse of 9 months.
Ren Yicheng, general manager of Beiyi Recasting Co., Ltd. introduced: “After molding, the castings are 20.5 meters long and 145 tons in weight. This is a new height. Following the successful pouring of 135 tons of the same type of machine tools in February of this year, the North recast people to new ones. Another round of sprint initiated by the world record indicates that our ability to produce 100T or more QT600-3 large-sized ductile iron machine tool castings has been further consolidated."
According to reports, during the pouring process, nearly 170 tons of iron moisture at 1,360 degrees Celsius was poured at the same time as five ladle packages. Wen Ping, deputy director of the company, said: “The 5 casting packages are cast with a single casting at the same time. The requirements for the conditioning and organization of hot metal are very high. The physical and chemical properties must be consistent to ensure the quality of the castings after molding. The accumulation and breakthrough in the technical level, first-line operation experience, and factory site management ensure the successful pouring of large-scale machine tool castings."
