Taking 720p network camera 4Mbps traffic as an example, from a performance point of view, the most secure consideration for a 100M physical layer switch should be access to 12 groups of 720p (4M*12=48M) network cameras.

However, considering that current network monitoring will use dynamic encoding, the peak value of the 720p network camera may exceed 4M, and bandwidth redundancy needs to be taken into consideration. Therefore, this type of 100M physical layer switch is best controlled. If there are more than 8 cameras in the group of 8 cameras, it is recommended to use a Gigabit switch.
