Grade metal products, is the product of the weight ratio of metal relative to the weight of the product.

The grade is determined by chemical analysis (or other method) and is expressed as a percentage. Example: Copper concentrate grade of 20%, that is, in the metallic copper-containing twenty tons of one hundred tons of dry concentrate.

The grade of the product is usually indicated by the Greek letter.

α - indicates the original ore grade (read alpha).

β - indicates the concentrate grade (reading beta).

δ - indicates the tailings grade (read Xi Xi).

The aforementioned grade definition is the representation of most metal minerals. However, some metals (such as some of the tungsten, aluminum, uranium and other non-metallic minerals such as apatite and the like) taste, which is more compounds represented by grade.
