China successfully develops a CTA/PTA drying unit with an annual output of 4 million tons
This large-scale unit consists of 2 dryers with a diameter of 4.2 meters, 2 diameters of 4.5 meters, and a diameter of 4.8 meters. From R&D, design, and manufacturing, all of them were manufactured by China Chemical Tianhua Chemical Machinery and Automation. The drying units independently produced by Tianhua Yuan have been exported to Belgium, the United States, Spain and other countries for their outstanding performances such as large processing capacity, good sealing performance, high thermal efficiency, stable and reliable operation, and long service life. As of August 2011, the cumulative output value of large drying units produced by Tianhuayuan reached RMB 1 billion.
Chen Hong, general manager of China National Chemical Equipment Corporation, said that in addition to the petrochemical field, high-level drying technology can also promote energy-saving and emission reduction in coal chemical industry, steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, electric power, and environmental protection. For example, in cooperation with the steel industry, the drying equipment developed by the unit can save 10,000 tons of standard coal equivalent energy per unit. In the coal-fired power industry, drying devices can dry high-moisture coal and improve the quality of coal. This technology can reduce the coal consumption of low-quality coal power generators by 5-15 g/kWh without increasing or even reducing the total power plant investment. To solve the power plant's dependence on high-quality coal and effectively alleviate the "electric coal shortage."
