Black talc
Talc is a magnesium- rich silicate mineral. The crystal is pseudo-hexagonal diamond-shaped plate or column (rarely seen), common sheet, scale and dense block, glass luster, pearly luster on the cleavage surface, hardness of 1~1.5, slippery, small specific gravity, The sheet is flexible. Black talc is a general term for black, grayish black talc. The inclusion of organic matter is the main cause of its blackening. Because black talc has low whiteness and cannot be widely used, it can be applied in ceramics, rubber, etc. to the industry. In order to expand the application of black talc, appropriate measures must be taken to improve the whiteness of black talc. Calcination is an effective method. After superfine pulverization, the calcined talc can be obtained into high-quality high-white superfine powder, which is widely used in coatings, plastics, rubber, high-grade ceramics and other industries. The test ore is loose and blocky, grayish black, with a moisture content of 12.5%. It is still difficult to disperse after soaking in water for 24 hours. The dry powder has a slippery feel.
