eAxle iDM
The first eAxle iDM integrated drive module prototype debuted in China, equipped with specially developed power electronics technology, can be easily integrated into the front or rear axle of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles according to the design architecture and different applications. The solution combines high-efficiency power electronics with advanced drive trains and electric drive technology with BorgWarner strip-wound stator solutions, perfectly integrated into a scalable, compact package. The launch of eAxle iDM marks the birth of a highly integrated propulsion system product line, and BorgWarner has taken a critical step towards creating a clean, energy-efficient world.
Car Charger (OBC)
The on-board charger (OBC), which debuted on the same stage, can be used on both hybrid and electric vehicles. Its waterproof and dustproof requirements meet IP6K9K, and the safety level complies with ISO26262. OBC has advanced power electronics and expands the input range of the AC, supporting two rated power sections of 7.4kW and 11kW. The three-phase electrical input makes it more powerful, more efficient and less time consuming. In the future, BorgWarner will also integrate DC/DC converters into the OBC and upgrade to a higher level of security.
High-pressure liquid heater for battery and cabin heating
In addition, thermal management is also one of the focuses of electric vehicles. BorgWarner's comprehensive thermal management solution, including cockpit and battery heaters, delivers fast response with optimal battery and cabin temperature management. The high-pressure cabin heater creates a comfortable interior of the cabin with zone heating and core temperature sensing capabilities.
