This is mainly due to the fact that there are few types of corrosion-resistant materials or improper materials in the country, and the processing accuracy is not high; in addition, the sealing life of the pump is low and the variety is small. The life of mechanical seals in foreign countries can generally reach two years or so, and domestic petrochemical pumps have not yet reached this level. The third is the low efficiency of the pump. Because the domestic pump design model is poor and the machining accuracy is not high, the pump efficiency is generally 2% to 3% lower than that of foreign countries. Therefore, many chemical process pumps have to be imported from abroad.

The development direction of Sinopec's pumps in the next five years will be large-scale, high-speed, mechanical and electrical integration, as well as complete sets of products, standardization, serialization and generalization. In particular, the production technologies of high-temperature pumps, cryogenic pumps, cryogenic pumps, precision metering pumps, anti-corrosion pumps, conveying viscous mediums, and pumps with solid particles and canned pumps will rapidly develop, and the demand will increase substantially. Tens of thousands of tons of refinery equipment and one million tons of ethylene equipment in China will open up a vast market for the construction of new, modified or expanded petrochemical pumps. In addition, various types of pumps currently in operation at various refineries in the country have become obsolete and are in urgent need of renewal and transformation.

Large, such as ethylene cracker in ethylene production, polyethylene equipment and polypropylene equipment, PTA equipment in the production of chemical fiber (pure terephthalic acid), polyester equipment and polyester spinning device, etc., so we must strive to develop corrosion-resistant technology.

In recent years, stainless steel pumps have been widely used in shipbuilding, rail vehicles and other transportation industries. With the development of machinery manufacturing, stainless steel pumps will have a broader application prospects. However, the growth rate of consumption has gradually slowed down, and the ultra-high-speed development stage with an average annual growth rate of over 30% has changed into a steady development stage with a current growth rate of 6.43%.
