In 2010, the sales revenue of China's traditional 7 major heavy industries did not exceed 15 billion yuan, of which Dalian Heavy Industry ranked first in the region with a total of 14.3 billion yuan. According to incomplete statistics, the total industrial output value in 2010 was 718.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, of which mining machinery grew by 32.2%, metallurgical equipment 22.6%, and hoisting transport machinery by 22.1%. The industry’s profit was 49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.1%, and the profit rate was 7.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1 percentage point. Sales in 1Q 2011 were 165.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.8%. The industry's major downstream metallurgy, steel and energy are expected to be affected by the lack of electricity this year, which will affect the recovery rate of the heavy industry.

According to industry sources, China's construction machinery industry is developing very fast.
