For the first time in the world, China has achieved direct extrusion molding of 49 to 63 inches of giant radial radial tires. On May 27, at the China National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation’s scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting, the 49-63-inch giant tire ultra-wide-width plastic extrusion molding key process and equipment project was identified by the appraisal committee experts as: key Technology is a domestic and foreign initiative, at the international advanced level, is a major breakthrough in advanced manufacturing technology of giant engineering tires.
Professor Yang Weimin, leader of Polymer Materials Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Team at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, said that the giant engineering radial tire extrusion molding process newly developed by Beihua University and Shifeng Group has achieved 49~63 at home and abroad for the first time. The mega-engineered radial tire super-wide-extruded rubber billet was extruded directly to replace the conventional narrow-splicing process. The new process molded products have good overall denseness, high surface quality and molding accuracy, which helps improve the airtightness of the tires and reduce tire rolling resistance and fuel consumption.
