China's first third-party vehicle forensic testing agency established

The first domestic third-party forensic testing agency was formally established on December 12. The Beijing Zhongji Vehicle Judicial Identification Institute, which is preparing for the past two years, is affiliated to the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. The agency will carry out the “Characteristics Identification of Motor Vehicles, Appraisal of Motor Vehicle Quality and Quality Accidents, and Traffic Accidents in accordance with appraisal projects approved by the judicial administrative agencies. Vehicle Qualification, Motor Vehicle Assembly and Component Identification, four categories of appraisal work.

With the rapid increase in the number of car ownership in China, disputes and lawsuits caused by product quality are increasing year by year. Lack of appraisal standards and regulations, imperfect technical methods, and uneven agency levels have caused consumers to overcome difficulties in meeting new car quality issues. Zhao Hang, director of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, stated that the dedicated laboratory for accreditation of Beijing Zhongji Vehicle Judicial Appraisal Institute covers an area of ​​1800 square meters. It has established a highly qualified team of appraisal experts and has 13 registered judicial appraisers, among them, professor-level seniors. There are 3 engineers and 10 senior engineers. There are more than 60 sets of special equipment for identification and appraisal, and they have the appraisal ability to cover all professional technical fields of automobiles. Beijing Zhongji Vehicle Judicial Appraisal Institute adheres to the principle of “scientific, rigorous, objective, and fair.” It provides independent, fair and third-party status to the society and provides high-quality automotive forensic services.
