According to Reuters, global auto safety system leader Autoliv and global car seat supplier Andoto announced that they will cooperate to meet the challenges of future car seat design and integration with autonomous driving.
The role of the autonomous car interior is very important, and the driver and passengers will spend more time on activities other than driving. Once the car is mastered by the computer, the passenger's flexibility requirements for the interior space also increase, which also results in the position of the seat to accommodate passenger relaxation, work and social activities. Autoliv and Andordo also believe that this collaboration will maximize the integration of products and solutions to meet the challenges.

The initial plan for the cooperation between Andorto and Autoliv is to integrate Autoliv's safety components into non-traditional seats and to enhance the functionality of existing airbags and new intersection remote systems. The new solution will be available in the second half of 2018.
The future cooperation plans of the two companies include joint research and development of highly integrated automotive safety, comfort and convenience solutions, as well as investment in research and development to expand the value of the non-automotive sector, provided that the user's travel and driving safety is provided.
